About Robin

Robin’s love of the antique business developed as a child. She was raised in the business. Her parents owned Leonard’s Antiques in Seekonk, MA. Prior to opening her own shop in 1994 in the beautiful and historic downtown area of Bristol, RI, Robin worked for Skinner, Inc. Auctioneers & Appraisers in Bolton, MA.

Over the years most of Robin’s clientele have become repeat customers. Robin says that when she is hunting for merchandise, aside from buying what she likes, it is really the tastes of her customers that determine her choices, and that many of the treasures found in her shop are placed there with specific customers in mind.

Robin’s shop has a welcoming environment with a great vibe and when people walk in off the street they often stay awhile. Richard Gere recently discovered Robin’s shop while exploring Bristol on his time off from a film production he was working on in the area and he became a good customer.

A graduate of Lasell Jr. College and Northeastern University, Robin lived in the Boston area and explored several careers before coming full circle to her antiques destiny. The economic climate has made the antique business a challenge for all, but Robin enjoys the challenges of being an entrepreneur and small business owner, and she is determined to continue the legacy of small antique businesses as they are now a rare breed.
